I will be changing spark plugs on my 1999 Express 1500 5.7 liter engine
I was reading a car manual that said torque the spark plugs to 120 lbs
Is this correct ?
I know you can torque lug nuts to that range but i did'nt know spark plugs are that much.

NO.
Way if you are talking ft lbs.
Was that in. lbs or ft. lbs or (N.m) lbs
Always read the fine print before the lbs.
Not over 20 FT lbs with steel heads.

you are right again
closer examination in the book shows the notation in-lbs
actually the spark plugs are torque to 132 in-lbs
the wheel lug nuts say 140 with no notation but there is a bold notation saying "ft-lbs unless otherwise indicated".
thanks for the info.
