I am being inundated with offers to "Extend the Warrantee" on my used
1997 Suzuki Sport Sidekick I just bought a few months ago!
Are these Warrantee Extension outfits bogus?
How could anyone extend a warrantee that expired years ago w/o giving the
vehicle a onceover inspection?
Absurd!
Has anyone reading this Forum been 'taken' by these people?
Who the heck are they - criminals working out of backroom sweatshop phone callers?

Most of them are . Our local tv station ran a bunch of reports about them and many of these companies and their tactics border on "scam".I still get those letters myself for vehicles I haven't owned in many years. These companies buy info from the DMV and then try to solicit business from the owners on those lists. The best thing to do in situations like this is to take the money you would've spent on an extended warranty and put it in a savings account that you can contribute to , to cover any needed repairs your vehicle may need while you own it.

I have had many of those offers, but denied them all.
