bmw 346 engine fan won't stop

radiator fan won't turn off when car is turned off. runs full speed at all times. ? sensor that needs to be replaced?

just a thought - find the relay that operates the fan and see if its bad. normally they use the same relay for different systems so you can switch them and see.
you may try unplugging the sending unit wires on the radiator and see if that locates a bad sending unit but I would look at the relays.
I haven't worked on your engine probably in a 7 series but different models have components in different locations so if that engine is used in more than one model you may be directed to a bad location (I have worked on my 325es and a 535i a little. but never had cooling system problems other than a bad reservoir
