Experts:
The belt that drives the power-steering (among other things) keeps "popping off" when it rains. It appears that the Power-Steering is leaking onto the belt from somewhere and causing this slipage. Is is a 1997 DODGE CARAVAN LE - V6 ENGINE...3200 I think..
Can someone tell me or direct me to a link that will tell me the eact steps involved in REMOVING and REINSTALLING the PowerSteering Pump...?
I'm not sure it is the PUMP itself...and could be a HOSE...but I'm just thinking about the age of the van and how it is highly possible that it is the pump itself...???
Anyway,...a mechanic told me it is a real chore to work on this make/model's power-steering so I'm not looking forward to it.
Any information is greatly appreciated.

Look at the ONLIN SERVICE MANUAL in this forum, it has the procedure.

Mike,
There is a fix kit made specifially to address the belt popping off of your van. It is available from either Gates, Goodyear or Mopar. Depending on which V6 engine you have your part numbers will be:
1996-2000 model years
Gates:
3.0L 38342K
3.3/3.8L 38379K
Goodyear:
3.0L 49204K
3.3/3.8L 49215K
Mopar:
3.0L SBK38342-AA
3.3/3.8L SBK38379-AA
If you buy this kit you will get instructions in the box on how to install it. It is real simple and takes only about 1 hr to install. Price is between $100 and $200. You can aslo google the part number and find the kit online. This will save you some buck$. After you install the kit, the belt will not fall off ever again.
Hope this helps,
