Broken Passenger side turn signal..

Hey everyone..

I just registered on this forum, after finding out I might have to pay over $700 to fix something that seems to be a very small issue. So I'm hoping to find some help and advice here :)

The problem is my Drivers side front turn signal, on my '05 Aveo. I'm sure you aren't interested in how it happened. Anyways, the problem is not the light itself, but the plastic or plexi glass or whatever they use to cover the light (the orange cover) is broken.. I'm told they have to replace the WHOLE light assembly. But the only thing that's broken is the light cover. If this doesn't make sense I will learn how to post a picture lol.

So my question is.. are there any guides out there on how to fix it? or any helpful advice you have for me?
Can it be fixed without having to replace the entire light?

and yes.. I did notice that I put passenger side in the subject lol

and if that is the part you need, i think this is something that could be done with a phillips or torx screwdriver in about 15 minutes.
