Problem with turn signals 2000 Alero

When I flip myturn signals on they work part of the time,
when they do they make a loud buzzing sound. Can
anyone help with this problem? Thanks!!

There are two main issues in this area that could cause your problem. The hazard switch and the multifunction switch.

When the buzzing sound occurs the turn signals come on but they
do not blink.

When I turn the signals on and there is no buzzing sound the turn
signal may come on or may not. Depends on what day it is I guess

How about the 4 way emergency flasher when pressed which is also the turn signal flasher?

Sorry about the delay on the response. When I turn on the
emergency flashers it does the same thing as when the
blinkers are turned on. At first they worked then they
started buzzing and they turned off

Are you the original owner? A letter/notice was sent out to Alero owners 1999 to at least 2003 about a free fix with the hazard/signal issue, technically a recall. Contact GM Customer Service and see if you qualify. All they will need is the VIN.
