If I am going to get the jrsc, and I plan on getting the apexi ws exhaust, what's the best match for headers? Do I want a 4-1 or 4-2-1 header? 1 peice or 2? ceramic or stainless steel? DC sports, GReddy, Apexi, comptech? What do you think? I looked up all this stuff and the most expesive tended to be the 1 peice stainless steel 4-2-1 headers. DC sports was the priceyest. But what fits best with the ws and jrsc?
also would the ws be good with the jrsc?
thanks for any help, not sure if this is the right place for this question or not...

JRSC is good for low end torque,so you should think about the high end.4-1 headers shine at the high end,so I would say definitely 4-1,since the low is covered by the SC.Brand hmmmm....debatible,same with stainless, though ceramic is designed to keep heat in the header not your engine bay,so that is always good as heat is the enemy of power.

well I can't get 4-1 header as I found it only works right for MT. I have an auto, so its gotta be 4-2-1. Ceramic seems to be the unanimous choice over stainless steel, and DC sports is the most highly reccommended of the bunch. The one peice is supposedly harder to install, but no one can tell me if there is any difference other than that. 2 peice is slightly more expensive. Average price on the net is about $300, although importstylez and Doctor import have them for about $280. So I am expecting about $400 all told after shipping and install.
What do you all think? a good fit with my WS and jrsc?

actually a 4-1 is for low to mid range power and 4-2-1 is for top end. check this out

interesting they dis DCsports. but the comptech they praise doesnt come in ceramic coated, which I unanimously hear is better. But it doesn't solidify me on the 4-2-1 design like some other stuff I saw.
but interesting article, thankyou.

Wrong way around. I don't give a shit what the website says. Think about the physics of it. A 4-1 header gives you a killer topend, a 4-2-1 header gives midrange.
As for which one to get, the way Honda headers make power is to have VERY long secondary runners, so get whichever one has the longest secondary runners.

i knew there was something wrong about it. i couldn't remember which header design mad power in which rpm range so when i looked at the article i went by that. just goes to show that you can't believe everything you read.

go down to the header section Hmmmm....I've been posting there for a while and have never seen that, but it is wrong. As a matter of fact, there have been a few threads about headers on there lately and that article has never come up.
