Well installing an aftermarket wheel myself, when you pull the stock wheel off, it has 2 horns, 4 wires in total running to the clock spring, which if you follow is in a white plastic tube with all the wires in it, and on the end of the clock spring is a metal connector........what I did is take 2 of the wires off because aftermarket wheels run one horn, not two like the stock one........i eliminated the clock spring and soldered the metal connector with the pos and neg for the horn to the contact that makes the horn go when pushed, and works fine. Are you putting an aftermarket wheel on?

Use a test light that is grounded-- when you "probe" the proper black wire, your horn will honk- and you cannot hurt any other wires or their components- I do remote starts- and this always works.....

It is the black wire in with all the other steering column wires- like the turn signals etc- comes out of the multifunction switch (turn/hazard/headlight switch)
