Start by checking all your fuses then check for spark at the plugs.

U said the battery died....can the alternator be going bad??? it might not have enough juice to fire it up now. Check the voltage at the battery....should be ideally 12 volts or more...if its less, I would replace the alternator. If its a carburetor, check to see if gas is going down the barrel. Check to make sure u have spark at the wires. Let us know what the problem was.

well i figured it out...after i had checked everything and even traced most of the wires to see if any were messed up i questioned the integrity of the battery and took it to autozone to have them check it (god bless free service) and they said it wasn't holding a charge so i took it back to the battery place and they looked it over and discovered it was a bad battery...they fixed it and charged it up and it's fine now. Thanks for everyones help
