transparant background with decal print

does somebody knows how to make a transparant background for some decals i would like to printon decal paper.

Umm... you can make GIF files have transparent backgrounds (see attachment), but that's not your problem. Besides, the compression of the file already being saved as a JPEG, leaves fragments that interfere with the transparent area...
Your printer won't "print" the white space. If you print your graphic on white decal sheet, you'll get the ink on a white background. If you print your graphic on clear decal sheet, you'll get the ink on a clear background, which is what you want, right?

i print the decals on a clear decal sheet, but how did you make the GIF transparant?

if the paper is clear then you just delete the pixels you want transparent and it should make it a grey and white checkerboard to tell you its transparent... and if it is just white or some other color when you delete something then hit CTRL+A then CTRL+C then CTRL+N make sure that the background is transparent and hit ok and push CTRL+V...

sorrie i must have known that a printer can't print white.....
i always use photoshop because i'm also in to pictuning :D

maybe I amwrong, but I don't think your printer can print white, so no need to work with trasparency !

do you have to have a laser printer to do that or can a normal ink jet do it im confused. i have the decal sheet and eveything i just dont know if i want to risk doing it on mine.:confused: :eek: :help: plus if u dont mind me asking where did u find all those words at to do it?????? please any info would be much appreciated.:D

but on the manual was written that you could use a inkt jet printer

You have to spray a scealant on your sheet. I know that much.
