so i own a grand prix gt, 75000 miles and im looking to do some upgrades. so i have done alot of shopping around and there are alot of options and i was wondering if you guys know the best bang for the buck, but within reason. im on a tight budget considering i go to MSU and pay for it lol. so far this summer i am thinking of doing full exhaust from headers back, ditching the U-bend, all of that. that should cost me about $1000 before install. at least going by the parts i am looking at from ZZ Performance. is that worth it? should i just do CatBack?
also some other parts i am looking at goes towards intake improvements. obviously a throttle body spacer is needed, and cold air intake. but someone please tell me if this actually works....?

its an intake insert costing about 200 dollars claiming about 30HP in 30 minutes...
Sorry for the long thread, just really want some advice on what i can throw under the hood thats cheap and gives me alittle extra go! lol. :evillol:

go to pfyc web page the have tons of add on stuff and the tell you what stuff you should do first like if you have a supper charger you should do exust and a pcm before a smaller pully. good info and good prices on most stuff. you can make your own cold air intake for about $50 to 100 depending on if you already have a good kandn air filter just buy plastic plubing pipe and ruber fitings and take out your old air box and tip the pcm up on its side agenst the washer tank and sucre it then run you pipe into the finder you will need to cut a hole in the rubber cover pices it works really good. and dos not look to bad you can even paint it all up when done and make it look niceer the air flow senser just gos in the rubber copuler between the throtle body and the pipeing.

never heard of the intake insert that your talking about...
but sounds like your on the right track. my first mods would be the exhaust work (which you already mentioned) i would also look into the 1.0 PCM, and CAI (whichever you prefer) personally, i wouldnt recommend K and N, i would go with either ZZP, or PFYC. of course again...personal opinion.

678898,
You should consider running a spell checker. Also, we noticed you seem to plug PFYC quite often in your posts and worded like an advertisement. :nono:
Back to the topic at hand on the intake insert I don't believe the performance or hp claims which equates to polished and ported lower and upper intake manifolds.
The throttle body spacer is worthless on a normally aspirated SII 3800 engine.

Here is a link to thread I started last week on almost the same topic. Hope it helps. ..... The exhaust, reprogrammed PCM, 180 degree thermostat, air intake, MSD coils w/8.5mm wires are all relatively affordable and will help a lot.
