- You will need to jack up the front end and support it on jack stands for saftey.
!!! You should also do a full system flush prior to changing the hoses, pump, or rack and pinion.
This will help to keep your system clean, quiet, and keep from voiding any warranties on pumps/racks.

- The pressure line can be bought at most part stores, napa about $90, advance about $70, but the low pressure hose is a dealer part.
-- You can remove the factory compression clamps(at the hose ends) on the low pressure hose only, then replace it with some new hoses & hose clamps.
- First remove the pressure line, with a 5/8' line wrench, and remove the compresion clamp on the low pressure line from the pump. You may need to remove the cruise control unit temporarily.

- Now remove the clamp behind the alternator which holds both hoses secure. 15 mm nut.

- On the passenger side you will see the hoses.
Red is high pressure, green arrow is low side.
Low side goes through a small cooler shaped like a square, if you cut these lines as a replacement, you should reuse this cooler, two phillips screw holding it to the body.

- On the drivers side, is where the lines attach. Again red high pressure , green low pressure.

- These are very tough to get loose! Their isn't much room for long wrenchs, so a shorty(with no leverage) or a crows foot with a short extension and a long ratchet should get them loose.
- If you cant, you can cut the lines with a small pipe cutter then use a socket and ratchet to break the old line fittings loose. Here is a pic of a small pipe cutter.

- Once those are loose, remove the plastic clip holding the return hose to the rear of the sub frame. You can see that in this pic to the left.

- You should also notice the low side has an insulated foil wrap to protect it from the heat from exhaust pipe.
-- You should reuse this if your hose doesnt come with one, or it could melt the hose.
- Once they are loose , remove them one at a time noticing the route of the hoses placement.
- then just reverse to install.
