2001 GTP leaking supercharger oil

Just had the supercharger oil replaced on my 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix. After picking up the car I wanted to check the fluids and noticed the supercharger was leaking small amounts of oil from the bolt at the end of the supercharger nose (right at the pulley)
I went back to the dealer hoping the problem could be solved with a gasket or new seal but I was told after 60K miles, the manufacturer recommends the entire unit to be replaced.
My car has 80K miles and I replaced the supercharger oil every 40K miles. The supercharger works fine I don't want to spend 2,000 dollars on a new one when the old one works ok but I'm concerned about the oil leak. The leak is not bad ( a few drops at a time) and it does't leak all the time.
Is the oil leak normal? could I replace the supercharger nose to take care of the problem? I found a link with instructions of how to rebuild the nose drive but it looks involved, Would replacing the nose take care of the oil leak?

The leak is not normal and the dealer is full of bull crap. $2K for a supercharger. :screwy:
There are repair parts available for the Eaton M90 Gen 3 blower. You can replace the complete snout assembly or simply replace just the snout seal. Repair parts are available at ZZPerformance.com.
