2000 grand prix 3100 not charging

I have a 2000 Grand Prix SE with 3100 eng. It does not charge. Batt voltage is good because I charge it evey night. I have battery voltage on the main wire and according to my wire diagram I shoud have constant fused power an a orange wire to the alt. This connector should also have a red wire going to the charge indicator circut. First off I have 2 pink wires one has a black traser one has a white. I checked for continuity on the suspected power wire to the back of the fuse pannel, its ok. When checking cont. from the wire to the fuse ther isn't any. That made me check what wires did. On each side of the fuse there is cont. to a orange wire, but not to the pink going to alt. When a fused jumper is hooked directly to the pink wire w/white trasser I get 14.6 volt right away. I'm almost ready to run a fused bypass wire and be done but thought maybe someone here may have a new idea for me. The wire diagram is from mitchel for a 2000 prix 3100 so it should be right
