T51R for a stock 2JZ

I was wondering if u can put a HKS T51R on a stock 2JZ without
blowing the internals, with good tuning and maybe new mannagment?. If so how much would it cost and how long would it last?. If not what would u have to do to ensure the internals not going on u?
I'm tossing up between a skyline GTS'25t and a supra but don't want to spend the earth if i don't have to, i might even go the GTR-32,33.
any help would be great ta.

i would say u can put the hks t51r on your supra n keep ur internals but u would have to run low boost to keep ur stock internals and i would think with a stock motor it would take a long time to spool a t51r you might be better off goin with a smaller turbo if u want to keep stock internals because wid a smaller turbo it will spool quicker and you will have better response!
hope this has helped

I actually am not sure about the T51 R for the Supra. Check out hksusa.com and see if they have it available. I do know this though. You can run roughly 15-18 pounds of boost on stock internals and high octance pump gas. You can run up to 24 pounds of boost on stock internals and race gas. if you plan on keeping the internals stock though there are much better turbo applications that can produce a lot less lag and similar power levels. The nice thing about the T51 is the crazy amounts of boost and power it can create on a non stock internal engine. Check out SP-engeniering or Powerhouse Racing for set-ups that can create good horsepower and little lag on stock internals.
Some helpful websites:

and I'm not sure about SP enenierings website

Actually the stock engine can handle 28psi no problem with race gas or alky-injection. That T51R can get ya around 800rwhp with the right parts. It spools up at around 5kish and yes HKS does have a T51R kit available, however its expensive. I have a T-78 on my supra and run everyday at 1-1.25 bar everyday on 93-94 octane, might be able to stretch 20-22psi with 94, but havent tried. Good luck with what you decide to get and if you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them for you

Just a couple of questions.
1. How does the T-78 go?.
2. Is that on stock internals?.
3. Roughly how much would it cost, for intercooler, turbo kit, basicly all
i need to have a quick car that runs good and is free from detonation.

Thanx for ya help.
