smoked a curb

Today I was driving with my buddy in a empty parking lot covered in snow. Pulling 360's with the e-Brake and what-not. When it was time to leave I was driving toward a stop sign about 50 metres away. Going 40 km/hr I failed to see a snow covered 1ft high curb that turned in to a 10 ft wide pointless platform. My civic made a horrible clunking sound upon impact then we hopped right over. I got out to assess the damage and miracuoulsy there was barely a scratch under the front bumper. The underbody plastic was ripped off though. The car still ran fine until I tried to steer and and now it feels like auto steering when its supposed to be armstrong steering. But it isn't responsive enough when I turn the wheel. Is this just my alignment or something much worse???

a snow rally civic... i love the idea. id work to make your car into sucha vehicle if i were you. as for the steering you should go to a shop to look at your alignment. hitting curbs is one of the biggest cause of bad allignment.

Yeah, curb smashing sucks. I did it in my 91 Civic hatch. I also got it on video, but I dont know how to post that.
I just got my new digital camera. It does video (no sound) and takes still pics. Me and 2 of my friends decided to go to our high school that we graduated from and take some pics with my new camera. Well, I thought that was a little boring, and I told my friends to go to the bus loop. We got there and I start doing laps around the bus loop. I figured out how to get the rear end of my car to slide around on this one wide turn. I told my friend to take some video of me. So he did, and on this one turn, I took it too wide, and on the other side of the road, there was a curb. I was going about 45mph. I saw it getting closer and closer, so instead of nailing the breaks, I slammed the gas, hopping to power out of the turn and just miss it. That did not work, and I slammed right into the curb. Damage done: 1 cracked radious rod, 1 bent 16" ICW rim, 1 bent spindel, the right side of the K-member was bent to shit and 1 broken axel. Also ripped the fender off. Oh, and the entire right side wheel was bent at a 45 degree when looked at from the front of the car.
If anyone knows how to post video, let me know, or I can e-mail it to someone that knows how to do it. Sorry bout making it long. ;)
