My dad killed a CTS-V in the Goat.

I loaned my dad the car today so he could go to a concert with my mom. Its some classical orchestra thing up north by a guy called Ande Rieu or something.

Anyway they get back and my mom says " dont lend your dad the car anymore!" Im thinking Oh crap, what did he do to my baby.
She says a guy in a black car got behind him on the way back and started tailing him. My dad was going 80 mph and the guy flashes his lights so my mom says "let him pass". My dad was on the right lane and the left was wide open so hes confused as to why this guy would signal a pass.
The dude breaks left and starts to pass.
My dad drops gear and pull on him. so now the guy speeds up and gets next to him. my dad figures okay , okay go ahead and slows down to like 70 so the guy can go on about his business.
Well the dude didnt think it was over so he slows down too and matches my dad. now my mom is freaking out and yelling at him for provking the dude.
my dad figures fuck it! im already getting yelled at, might as well make worth while. the guy drops gear and roars on forward. My dad drops it and takes off. shes freaking hysterical now screaming at him. hes just flying. says he put about two cars on him by 120 which sounds about right if the CTS-V had the 420hp LS6 which is faster then the LS2 models.

I asked my dad what happened and he seemed a little ashamed, so i told him "look bro I dont care if you race in it, fuck thats why I bought the damn thing. just dont loose man, I got a rep to maintain."

Haha wish my dad would take the SS out and get some races in. Not sure I want him picking fights with CTS-Vs though... we have one of those in town, Torched's neighbor actually. Thing is a downright beast, not many things modded or not in here under 50k worthy of licking the ground it drives on. My dad knows some about cars, but he doesnt know a V when he sees one.

Awesome race, maybe next time leave mom at home? WAY better than some orchestra thing. LS2 at 5,000 rpms is my version of music.

nice. all you need now is for your wife to have a win driving the gto and you can say that car is your families race car....LOL.

at least your dad likes to have fun in cars tht he drives,. mines will do always 5-10 under the speed limit if im not bugging him about it....

i guess he is easily described as one of those old people that drive in florida that cant stay in their lanes, and etc...lol.

actually yes, i might even have a video of it.
we got him a little toy thats shaped like a steering wheel with a shifter on the side and lights and stuff. he spins the wheel and shifts the lever up and down.
I also took him to an arcade and sat him on my lap while I played cruising USA and he shifted the lever a bunch of times.

But I'm not scared. :disappoin
