It seems it isn't an entirely new kit, but a modified reissue. I can't confirm this but it reminds me of the pro modeler release, I do not have, but had seen the kit a long time ago.

Right behind the D pillar kink is a little flash, with the remnants of the vinyl top that used to be there.

This is a modified reissue; they did the '68 previously as a Dick Landy drag racer, easily kitbashed w/Revell '69 Chargers, and that's pretty much what they've done w/the kit. '68 body/interior/drag parts, stock parts from the '69. I built a stock '68 years ago for my airbrush book.

I guess now I can save my Landy kit and get this one. :sunglasse

Hmmmm, I was reminded elsewhere that the kit has both the 440 and Hemi, and the new dog dish caps/steelies which I missed before when I looked at these pics. This is a pretty sweet kit for all those parts :sunglasse
Interesting that they went with the dog dishes and steelies instead of the pro touring wheels/tires. I guess they can do that variant later.

Dear god! Revell finally made a decent looking box! Good photography, good camera angle...I'm astounded. I...I...I actually want to buy based on the box!
Is it just me or does Revell's sprues look really fat?
