Head light issues

Drivers side headlight is acting weird. It only seems to work if I get out and give it a good tap. Then it works fine until I shut them off for a bit, then this happens again. Any suggestions.:banghead:

Never mind, I got it fixed. Something was worng with the headlight unit itself.

The bulb?

Mine doesn't use just a bulb. It is the sealed "bulb" so full glass.

I guess you could call that the bulb.

I would trade my fogged over aerodynamic crap for sealed beams anyday!

I had a similar problem with my 94 XFI. Drivers side light went out fixed it couples months later both headlights went out. If the problem comes back may want to check drivers side under the dash as I recall 2 white plugs one controls the headlights. You will be able to tell with headlights turned on, you can turn headlights on and off by wiggling side to side pressing back down into the socket doesnt help. Over time I figured the plastic support shrinks and allows the plug to cock side to side cutting both headlights eventually. I strapped mine back with a plastic tieback strap with minimal pressure no trouble after that. Most likely you got it but just in case.

Well so far the headlights have been find, so hopefully that was all it was. Thank you for the heads up though.
