My speedo doesn't work at all. It started off as a intermitting problem. The S light is blinking on the dash and the cruise doesnt work. When the speedo did work I had no blinking light and the cruise did work. I've changed the VSS, and it didn't fix it. Any help where to go from here would be greatly helpfull

well well well i had the exact same problem recently and i mean recently anyways i ended up changing the vss like you did and it did not work but to make a long story short go to the junkyard and find a 90-93 accord and cut the pigtail off that is connected to the vss and then compare it with yours because mine looked okay but a closer look revealed that the terminal inside the weatherproof connector had gotten liquid in it and corroded a green color and it nickled and dimed me to death but in the end my speedo is working great now and no the cruise is not gonna work because it relies on the output of the vss and the sport light is blinking because the trans control module isnt getting a signal from the vss also your gas mileage will suffer because the trans control module will not shift the trans into overdrive to find out what i mean go on the freeway and drive what you think would be 70mph then look at the tachometer and notice that the car is running at 3500rpms well its only supposed to be at 2500rpms so it will also cause the car to heat up faster too so try this really easy fix because trust me ive been through all the troubleshooting possible for trouble code 17 including replacing the speedo to eliminate it

I did something similar to the pig tail but I just cut and spliced then heat shrinked them and still no speedo

then check with a multimeter at the pigtail for voltage between the yellow and the black yellow being positive and black being negative should be 12v or close to it but the ignition has to be in the on position not running if you get voltage then we go to the next step if not then check both fuse boxes. next step check voltage between orange and black should be at or under 5v if not let me know also i will give you a link to download the fsm for your accord

I just checked both the orange and yellow wires. The yellow read at 12.26 volts and the orange at 3.42 volts. what next?

try jacking up the front end and rotating the tires with the pigtail probed on the orange wire and the black when the wheel is rotating the voltage should be fluctuating if not then go back to the speed sensor but the pigtail has to be plugged in to the speed sensor
