Cooling Fan Motor

Hello everyone, I replaced the cooling fan motor in my car and it keeps melting the relay. Had a buddy look at it and he says the wires comming from the motor itself are to small and are drawing to much amps. Does any body know how much amperage those motors draw?

When the fan was working was it staying on all of the Time?

There is sensor to cycle this fan on/off during certain Temps.

What was your Temp gauge reading?

Did you buy an aftermarket Fan?

Did the LadyinDistress call?

What color is the fuse in this circuit,the fuse should of protected the relay!

If you know your ohm's law,you can add a resistor to fan circuit. E/I*R

I think JYD should has a OE fan for you.
