Well I finally got a combination of plenty of time and a nice warm day.

I didnt take any pics this time. I did not see any physical damage to the old gaskets, so I cant confirm thats where the oil in my spark plug tube was coming from. Now it would almost have to be the aluminum spark plug column, or maybe around a bolt or something. I dont know, and right now I dont care haha.

Its not a job for the faint of heart really, youre going to need patience, flexibility, and a variety of tools designed for tight spots. It requires disconnecting the power steering lines, plus disconnecting and removing the surge tank. So you will lose some coolant, and the vast majority of your PS fluid. I used it as an oppurtunity to completely drain my reservior and refill. Although you should refill before starting the car (I forgot).

You will also to take loose and reposition the vast majority of the wiring harness that runs in that area, the most difficult part for me was removing the connections to the fuel injectors. I could not figure out the setup for the longest time. I talked to lowgearjoe about it and he described his and they sounded completely different than mine.

All in all it took me about 5-6 hours, but it was the first time, had several delays, and took a break or two. So my advice would be not to mess with them unless you are positive they are leaking.
