First car need help

I got my first car a 1995 Jimmy from my cousin it was his old car and he took out his system and im looking to buy a nice system before i get my license. I need help since i dont know anything about car audio. I really want a nice subwoofer first and then what ever comes next that would be good to get. Any help is appreciated.

Yup subs are not important if you dont have them. Don't go to walmart and buy any thing the best thing for some one that has no idea what there doing is to read the newb forum they have up there. Then go to your audio shop or a web site sonicetectronix.com is my fav find something in your price range. Make sure your CD player has preamped out puts you will need an amp a sub a box wireing kit door speakers and some speker wire if your replaceing the cd player your most likely will need the installation brackets and wireing harnes. A multi meter is nice and very helpful.
