hmmmm...I dont think I've ever seen anyone put camshaft gears on the ITR DOHC.....except for this one of course but they look like they are painted on. And to my knowledge, I didnt know the camshaft gears were even VISABLE on this engine....

The B18C5 present in the Type R, has a cover over the cam gears, some people remove it though when they upgrade the gears. Maybe you can take a piece of the parts tree and cut it to get 2 circles to use as cam gears??

if you look at the engine with out the valve cover on there are the bottom halfs of the cam gears on there! but stock the valve cover covers them up

Look closely it under the cover of the part that is trimmed white it looks like he cut that part under the cover and then put the cam gears.

I have put cam gears on all my ITR engines, I just use the correct dia. styrene (or parts tree) and glue them into place. I do not have any good pics yet, I will try to post some soon. The real integra does not come with the cam gears expossed nor does any of the honda motors for that
matter. When you upgrade to adj. cam gears you "Trim" (Not remove) the valve cover to expose the cam gears to make them MUCH easier to adjust, it also adds a nice touch to the engine bay. here is a pic of my motor before I dropped it into my civic, hope this helps for reaserch! I will post pics of my model ITR w/ cam gears in the next day or two.

here is the best and only pic of cam gears on one of my models.

I may have thought of the best idea for you, Use watch gears. im sure they can be found in small enough sizes but i have no idea where to get them from. maybe buy a cheapy watch and canniblize it?

   Thats my expression right now. I tried a wasther for a cam gear; too big, so i scratch built my own. They fit, but not perfect. To access the cam gears, i had to take the top cover off (i had orgionally put some pieces of plastic under it to make it taller [this was before i decided to creat it turbo. But with the one side open, you could see the pieces of plastic, so i took them out. When i went to glue my top cover back on, it didnt clear the intake hose  so.. i tried to bend the hose in a U shape, and it broke. DAM|\| IT TO H311! (Yes, i did say a few choice words when it broke) then the air cleaner, turbo, intercooler and intercooler piping ALL fell off... i finally got it together, but you cant even see the cam gears anyway:mad: AH!! ALL THAT HARD WORK FOR NOTHING!

Go to a hardware store and they'll have some little gear looking thingies that are about the same size as washers, but the problem is that they're too thin, so you stack a couple up, and you have yourself some cam gears! I hope this has helped. :)

I'm not sure if this is what integra818 meant, but it got me thinking. They do have small little washers at hardware stores that have cogs around the edge. I'm not totally sure what they're used for, but they'd have lots of different sizes. It might just do the trick...

it's possible that you may be referring to lock washers at the hardware store. however, i think they'll be too thin and the teeth would look out of proportion. just my 2 cents.

I have to agree with you, the styrene is working great for me! besides in real life when the camgears are exposed you don't see that much of the teeth since the timing belt is covering them. This makes it easier to pass of the styrene as cam gears, just my .02cents
