Seat Belt Dinger

:banghead: HOW DO YOU GET THE DINGER TO SHUT UP IF YOU HAVE YOUR SEATBELT OFF.

Buy an aftermarket head-unit and don't include a magical dinger module. The chimes play through the factory radio + speakers. Better yet, keep your seatbelt on. :banghead:

go to a junk yard, find a cobalt, cut the seat belt connector off then plug it into the one in your car. Pretty stupid idea though, cobalts generally arent the safest cars.

You are out of luck! I've tried.... Chevy does not allow you to turn it off. Ford and Dodge does, buy a focus next time....:iceslolan

I love my Cobalt, hate the dinging. I will only do it 3 times in 15 minutes then quit, I'm now where I rarely notice it.

As for wearing seat belts, sure, a good idea but don't think we should be forced to do it. How about a bell and light that tells people not to smoke in the car or one that says not to play with your cell phone or radio and leave the d#$n Ipod alone while your driving!! (one lady PASSED me while driving with her elbow cause she was putting on makeup and talking on the cell phone at the same time!! Where is her bell/light) Maybe even one about drinking, or eating or anything else because someone wants to control your life!!! I don't wear my belt because I don't want to, some people do drugs, some are alcohlics and other are into stuff you don't want to think about, force them!!! It's my life, let me live (or die) my way.

Sorry for the rant, just tired of the seat belt bashing. Me not using a seat belt won't kill no one but me, go yell at the drunk-sleeping guy that just hit a group of bicyclist and killed one.
