hey I got a 2002 Grand Prix GT wit 76K miles and when I'm stopped for about a min or two and then when I press the gas to start driving the car sometimes jerks. What could be my problem?

To start how is the ATF level? Although you only have 76K miles when was the last tranny service? The ATF and screen filter should be replaced NLT 100K miles under normal driving conditions.
What happens when you floor the gas pedal?

Automatic Transmission Fluid. Dexron-III.
A lot of minor autotransaxle issues are resolved by a basic tranny service so that is the best starting point since the maintenance history is unknown.

Rule number one is never trust anyone that works at an oil change shop. :grinno: They are in business to make money off of people that don't know any better or incapable of do it yourself work. There is no requirement or need to have fuel injector service with your mileage. Even GM doesn't specify it as routine preventive maintenance. Most pump gasoline is detergent based and does a good job of cleaning fuel injectors.
Unless you are getting a SES/CEL (check engine) light either flashing or on steady with stored diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) the fuel injector service may not resolve your issue. Are you getting a SES/CEL light?

Also, at 76k, you're probably due for a tune-up including plugs, wires, fuel filter and PCV valve. My 99 had 73k city miles on it when I bought it, and the rear bank of plugs were shot. I had developed a slight off-idle and highway speed passing hestitation, and the tune-up fixed it. She's been running perfect ever since. Try to stick with Ac-Delco plugs and wires if you can find them in your area. Cheapo wires and gimmicky multi-electrode plugs are problematic and a waste of money. Hey Bob, I got thru a tune-up list without bashing Bosch plugs! oops, it slipped,

Possible dirty or defective MAF. Hopefully it's dirty, because that part isn't cheap.

I took my car in to have the MAF sensor cleaned and that didnt help so It turns out that the MAF sensor was defective. So I took my car in and had the sensor replaced ($190):eek7: and its been driving perfect without the jerking when I press on the gas pedal. Plus my MPG is back to normal. Thanks to everyone who helped me out. :cwm27:

Where did you buy your MAF sensor from?
I have bought one from zzp, saved a few bucks, but it was just as bad as the one I had on my car before.

I took my car to my mechanic that I had been dealing with for about 3 or 4 years. So I dont know what brand name he used.
