outer molding on winshield

kids has a 2003 alero and when you sit in the car the right side of the winshield molding is popping off. I tried to bend it (has a bow in it) and pop it back in but keeps on popping off where the bow is. can we just get another molding strip and pop that in or is there more to this than meets the eye? also, do these get held in place by clips or is there some type of adhesive that needs to be used.
