Theres a bar rate behind the lower arm that connects to it and it runs across to the other lower arm. What is it called? I hit a big pothole and it broke rate off on the one side. Should I weld it back on or get a new one.
thanks

Sounds like you're talking about the sway bar & endlinks. Can you post a picture? I'm assuming its the endlink that broke. The endlink is the piece that goes between the control arm & sway bar, basicaly just a bolt with spacers & rubber bushings. I think they're $10 -$12 but can't remember if that was each or a set of 2.

I would be able to get a pic if I wouldnt of broke my phone a few days ago. But anyways yah your right it is the sway bar but the endlink is fine the bar broke where it connects to the endlink. So do I just need new sway bar. Doesnt look to hard to install or is it.

No its not bad to install. All you need to do is loosen the bolts on both endlinks, there are also two bolts on each side of the frame. They arent horribly difficult to get too except for the driver side, there are brake lines that are really close too it.

If you have a helping hand, you should be able to squeeze the stocker out without even having to remove a tie-rod end. If you plan on using a broken swaybar as an excuse to upgrade to the GMPP handling kit, youll have to take a tie-rod end loose to get the new one in there.
