Is it true Revell is going to issue the 1957 Chevy 150 2DR (post) sedan?

The link is to the mail order company that is owned by Revell's owners. Not much information on it, other than they are doing it. Apparently Revell plans on doing several variants, including Bel Air HT/CV. A friend who saw a test shot said the door panels are two-sided, one side is the simpler 150, the other side is Bel Air. It will probably be later this year before it comes out, Revell commonly blows their intro dates by at least several months. "Early August" means "probably by Christmas but no guarantees".

including Bel Air HT/CV
No, not again a HT. There are tons of them available from AMT and Revell. a convertible is a piece of cake to convert.

A 2DR Sedan Bel-Air, that would be great. Together with the older 210 of MPC (or was that a Bel-Air?), the sedan line would be complete, at least the 2DR line.

If i were in their place I would add emergency light, horn and markings, and/or teardrop trailer and roof luggage carrier.

From what I gather, it's most likely to be a convertible w/uptop first, but don't quote me on that. That's one variant that's never been done in plastic, and it's the one that goes for the big $$ at all the auctions. I could care less about another HT.

hmmmm... I would rather blend a 55 convertible and a 57 HT to make a 57 Convertible and see a new variant (like a 150 or a any sedan) coming. But of course a convertible is better than nothing at all.

You are getting a sedan. The upcoming Black Widow is a 150 2 door post sedan. It's coming before any Bel Air variants. Revell has to make a profit, and I'm pretty sure a Bel Air convertible will have more mass appeal than even the Black Widow, but at least they are doing the Black Widow. They're doing the best they can. The Black Widow '57 is a variant of the Revell/Monogram '55/'56 Chevrolet tooling. They've gotten a lot of mileage from this tool, and personally I'm glad they waited until late in the game to do any more '57's.
