I have a 1998 villager 157K, now that the weather is warming up I have noticed the van is idling high, almost racing, RPM fluctutating between 1500-500 rpm. This happens in park and neutral, when I shift to drive it usually drops down.
Now that gas is almost a million dollars a gallon, I cringe at red lights, does anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks

Check your Throttle Position Sensor, it is located on the throttle body. They are a wear item.
Have you checked for any codes, Autozone and other parts stores do this for free. Get codes if any and post them. Remember that codes point to a problem area not the exact solution.
Go to this site, you can download a actual service manual for your year vehicle.
http://phatg20.net/index.php click on downloads, Factory Service Manuals,
Nissan scroll down to Quest, agree to rules, click on year then click on download.
Hope this helps
