AB Gasket warning

Hey folks,
Well I was 'deep' cleaning my AB my usual way, which is to soak anything that touches paint in lacquer thinner for an hour or so and then scrub.
The AB in question is a Tamiya gravity feed duel action AB.
I left the paint cup in my lacquer thinner a few hours longer than usual...
and the gasket that helps seal the cup to the AB actually grew to about twice its normal size. It completely popped out of the groove that it normally is in.
I left it there for about half an hour and it shrank close to its original size... but still too large to fit back in the groove. I think that I've destroyed it.
Pic (this is after about 30 minutes of 'shrinking'):

So, DON'T SOAK YOUR GASKETS IN LACQUER THINNER!! :banghead:

Does anyone know if this will effect the rubber if it does shrink back to normal size?

Steve

:D Not a news, just one of those "learning curve" steps :D, BTW those O-ring are cheap, you'll fins in several diameters in one of those "pro" hardstore. Old stuff like my 20YO Badger 100GXF has nylon rings... you'll soak in almost everything... ;), this don't mean that I hate my Iwatas, nope :D
