Yeah funny story....Yesterday I was on the highway coming to university when I saw a black car with a scoop on the hood coming fast behind me...when he came close I could see that it was a 00-03 mustang and i could recognize the windshield strip because I raced with him when i had my 98 civic HB (please dont laugh)...anyway he guned and tried to pass me and when I was about bumper to his front door I floored it...........P-p-p-pulled away on his a@@ and left him in the dust...I stopped at a burger king and he stops next to me and says "what do you got?" I was like "What?" hes like "What do you have in there?:bloated:" i replied "Nuffin'",he was like "huh?!?" and looked at his bitch with a question mark on his forehead:confused: ...That was so fun and educational! Now I understand my 4th grade teacher when she said "education can be fun".

You got lucky that his Rustang was V6. If it would be V8 you wouldnt stand a chance against him. Unless you are running turbo or S/C with 3'' exhaust, which I highly doubt:smoker: As far as V6 Rustangs they are freaking slow as hell. Maxima owns them literally in every possibly found hole in them:devil:

Yeah I know...it was a V6, but even the V6 think their like the fastest thing on the block.

i hate ppl who get the v6 stang and then talk shit bout the max sayin they can beat it. theres some fucker on cardomain and keeps sayin he can beat me. do any of u kno the stats for the rustang? a 97 v6?

Even the V-8s arent all they are cracked up to be. I raced a 2002 GT and he could only make space on me in 1st and 2nd gear. From there on up to 100 we were even - he got about 1 car length on me in 1st and 2nd gear. With relatively few mods - maybe 20 more horsies, a 2k2 max can take the GT.

In case you dont know the stats on the 2 cars:

2k2 stange 260 horse/3241 lbs = .08 hp/lb
2k2 max 255 horse/3224 lbs = .079 hp/lb

Add to that the the stang is more agressively geared, and you get the little bit of separation that they can make. Now the SVT is a COMPLETELY different matter - stay away form them unless you are turbo/supercharged.

I wanna take my unmodded max agains my brother's 01' mustang bulitt, just to be able to tell the story. Maybe when I head back home. Heh.

But, on a similar note, I never understood why they made the stang in a v6. I've hated them since I knew of them. They bring back bad memories of a friends' ex. She was a bitch.

They even made the 'Stang in a 4-cylinder in the 80s, the Mustang LX (not the 5.0L obviously). That was the biggest piece of crap ever, my friend had one.

the 4 cylinders that are made by Ford suck ass. The mustang is an exception and even then for me a mustang isn't a mustang unless it has a V8.
Those cars are lovely to hear when you go up next to them in a stoplight.
The only good Ford's are the trucks..

good run there. v6 mustang or not. but let me tell you the gt`s aren`t to impressive either, hate to say. you definately dont need a s/c to beat a stang. :silly2:

Ya those are crazy cars. Don't forget the 2000 Cobra R and the 2003 Mach 1. I know that if u drive really well with your maxia u can easily take the Gt.

Nice kill, those V6's aren't in the Maxima ballpark when it comes to HP/TQ but nevertheless he had no business trying to front with his lady in the ride, I really hate it when people do that.

There are a few others that are impressive, Roush makes a pretty awesome Stang that really stings.

true cobra1s are awesome ... my friend has a 2001 cobra and he put on the 18" cobra r rims.. looks sick and it does move out well. i luv the sound they make. sweet hum
