I have been searching quite a bit and finally decided to put some money into a sound system...I know its not anywhere near top of the line but it tested in my friends car and it sounds good and gets loud...what does everyone think? Head unit will be here sometime next week

Mounting the amp on top of the sub is never a good idea.
I also am not a fan of how its such a large box sitting in the rear seat area. I had something like that in my car for a week and I just couldnt stand it anymore.

I have read on plenty of sites and I have decided that the tiny risk of damage that will happen 1 in 10,000 times is worth it since i would have to take up more room in the car to mount the amp elsewhere...the box is braced so Im really not worried about vibrations hurting my amp...Why dont you like the box in the backseat area?

I'm with stealthee, it really looks kinda tacky that way. My sub box was actually able to fit in between the hatch and the rear seats(while they are up). The amp was screwed into the back of the back seat and all the wires were tucked into the carpeting. Nice and clean :)

Well there is no way the box is fitting there lol. I am on a huge money crunch so I can't really afford to buy new stuff, especially custom sub boxes...I think it looks alright and I really am not going to need my backseats for anything (I don't plan on driving around with midgets or amputees as they are really the only people that can fit in them)
