OK first off i've changed near everything on this thing i think i'm 200 parts from being a brand new jeep...

I have a starting Problem... it starts but wont stay running. Idle arm was changed worked for a week then started acting up again... could get it to start after a few hours and many trys... 5 act ups later becaues the shop could not make it do it.....Now it won't start unless you trigger the Car Alarm system then it starts just fine...

?? anyone know what could be wrong ??

the shop told me it could be a computer for the engine i had that changed almost two years ago or it was the Body computer... Fuel pump was changed 5 months ago... Fuses are fine...

Welcome,

Are you mechanically inclined? (do you want to tackle this yourself?)
Are you web inclined? (Plug in "intermittent start" into the "search this forum") and report back.

We need more detail about your problem.

Have faith, we can help.

Karl

Yes i'm mechanically inclined... and i want to fix it my self so the shops around here will stop screwin up my jeep just to make some D**m money ok....

"intermittent start" searched that... nothing close to problem for this kind of car...

1993 Limited edition 5.1 liter Grand Cherokee.... Will not start until car alarm system is set off and turned back off then starts just fine...

No warning lights other then standered ones come on, everything works great other then this Problem after having an Idle arm changed and now all the shops here tell me it's things i've already had changed no more then 2 years ago to things changed less then 2 months ago...

geting very tired of being streotyped of beening a girl and knowning nothing about cars here.... from shops and now hinted here...

I don't think Coachkarl was hinting at anything here. There are just a lot of people that post things without searching first, or end up not being able to understand how to follow the instructions given. Now, on to the issue with your Jeep.
Is this a factory alarm or an aftermarket alarm? I found this doing a search on Google: http://en.allexperts.com/q/Car-Alarms-1513/93-Grand-Cherokee-alarm.htm

You also didn't sound clear which computer you replaced: PCM or BCM... If I was a gambling man, I'd suggest having another look at your PCM. It certainly sounds like the factory alarm is acting up. Try looking through these: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/search.php?searchid=2164740

A female? I had no idea . .
Hang in there, lady . . . How about getting rid of the alarm altogether? That would rule out the your chief suspect,

I plugged in "disable alarm" into the "Search this Forum" box, and found this:

"Re: How do I unhook the security system On a '93 JGC without cutting off the fuel pump?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you seriously want to disable the factory theft alarm, here is how you do it.First you have to access the vtss module. It is behind the glove box to the right of the radio. You need to take the right side of the dash apart to get at it.Ok,then you start the jeep and leave it running,I was told for at least 2 minutes, but I think that is not really necessary.Next, while the jeep is running, unplug the vtss module. It should stay running,in fact the jeep has to stay running.Leave it running for 2 minutes is what I was told. Then you just leave the module disconnected and the pcm should not look for it anymore.I know this actually works because I had to do it.I am a tech at a Jeep dealer and a customer had a defective vtss module that would lock up every few days.I was going to replaced it but the part has been discontinued so he would have been screwed.Ifound out through Chrysler that you could disconnect it and it actually works.I don't know if this will fix your battery problem but it will get rid of the alarm."
