Even if the kits were shipped on 6/6 (Fri), they wouldn't arrive at the retailers until 6/9 (Mon), right? I'll wait for Monday's Hobby Search or Hobby Word's recent arrival announcement before suspecting another delay.

I'd like to get my hands on that 250 GTO. The v12 detail looks promising. Wouldn't mind getting the open top 250 that they are doing a limited run on as well.
I couldn't care less about the Skyline... or should I say GT-R... Bleh, not crazy about the new GT-R at all.

Aoshima's GT-R kits are available now.

http://hobbyworld.aoshima-bk.co.jp/scripts/hw/seek.aspx?seek_code=ABK141956&img=a
No engine, but features working suspension and separate brake rotors for 2940 yen. Separate front and rear bumpers and hood suggests more variations to come.
And sneak peek at Fujimi's GT-R kit.
http://www.h3.dion.ne.jp/~mokei/honne.htm (http://www.h3.dion.ne.jp/%7Emokei/honne.htm)
No engine(?!) or separate transmission and exhaust, but every other details for 2940 yen, approx 1000 yen less than Tamiya. The kit is due out July 19th.

Fujimi's looks like the best choice to me.

Anyone knows when the 1/20 Ferrari 126 CK is due to be released?
It should have been 11 July but there is still no sign of it.

Agreed. Fujimi offers the vest overall value, and they might release the DX version with engine details.

It was pushed off till July 18th. The kit should be in store shelves in Japan on the coming Monday.

Fujimi's looks like the best choice to me.
Probably so.
Having built the Tamiya I find it interesting that:
Fujimi molded the front chin spoiler/rear splitter separately. Saves masking...
Fujimi & Aoshima both have separate F/R fascias vs. Tamiya's integral rear fascia which created that weird mold line on upper rear fender.
Aoshima separate grille; wish it were separate on the others, it's a beyotch to mask.
Aoshima's side glass, especially at the top, looks too flat. Hard to tell w/just the parts pics whether Aoshima's assembled appearance is compromised; Fujimi and Tamiya both look good.
Tamiya's the only one w/LHD at this point.
I look forward to getting the Fujimi version, to have a bit more fun with vs. the OOB Tamiya review subject which came out nice but I want to make a GT-R with the attitude shown by the concept :sunglasse

Thanks, I've pre-ordered the 250 GTo and the 126 CK together and now I find myself drooling over the 250 GTO pictures on the net, while I'll receive it later than I thought it would happen.

Gotta pipe in with those who favor Fujimi's GT-R. There's just something subtly right about that one in the preview pics, where Tamiya and Aoshima seem just the tiniest bit off somehow. I also like its parts breakdown the best, based on what we've seen - but why all the coyness with the engine inserts?
Nevertheless, unlike the Fujimi GTO, which flaunts a superiority Forrest Gump could appreciate, I do want all of these in my hands before I render any final evaluations...

More pics of the Fujimi GTR just hit Fujimi's website today:
Fujimi GTR (http://www.fujimimokei.com/prod_syosai/nissan_gtr.html)
Looks pretty good, but my Tamiya version looks at least as good and the front track looks more realistic on the Tamiya GTR.
The rear diffuser is clearly inferior to Tamiya's. The shape is a bit off, and the exhaust tips are too small and too far inside the diffuser openings. I compared my Tamiya model w/photos of the 1:1, and Tamiya nailed it, Fujimi didn't. I'll use the extra set of plastic Tamiya tips on mine.

I have 2 of the Aoshima Premium Editions on the way; I only wanted one but I'm sure I can find a use for the second one. I can't believe that no one has built theirs with aftermarket wheels yet! :dunno:

I almost put 19" TE37's on mine keeping with the NISMO style but they looked too small.
The wheel openings are huge...on the Tamiya body anyway.
I tried some other 20" rims but nothing looked very good on it.

Cool; I have a few things I might be able to throw at it to change the pace a bit. :sunglasse
