Hi,

some time ago I got the new Scaleproduction Ferrari 360 Novitec transkit, made for the Tamiya Ferrari 360.

the package: http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/400_3131363235613031.jpg

its content: http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/400_6439363230306630.jpg

Resin parts come in very good quality, no bubbles or flash, the kit provides a new front skirt, a new lower part for the rear skirt and a plain aerodynamic piece, rear wing and 2 aero-parts for the side-skirts

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/3939363965366561.jpg

Etched parts are for grills in all openings, brake discs, pedals, sides of the wing and brake light

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/3461343864363037.jpg

Tamiya Ferrari Enzo wheels (the wheels for the rear must be shortened a little bit, they are not so wide on this car as on the Enzo)

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/28/1077928/3839656235306665.jpg

and you get some fabric for the seat belts

I decided to make the 360 spider in Novitec-look. First step was to cut away the front skirt and fit in the transkit part.

Due to finishing the Schnitzer BMW Z3 I did much on the kit, but now IŽll continue it

Sweet, first one on here? This one will come out great, and can't wait to see it done. It seems like scale production resin is very clean, with no flash. Awesome company, i wish they would rerelease some of their earlier products. I hate how expensive it is over here in the states. They have so much i want. Anyway good luck, what color is it going to be? Put lips on the wheels if possible, would look killer.

Hi,

thanks for the comments !!

@ rockinanko: Looking at the Novitec website I cannot read, that there is one version of their tuning kit for the coupe and one for the spider. I guess, these are 2 variants of tuning parts.

Here in Germany there is a dealer who sells the car exacty as I build it

That is one SEXY 360! I was half regretting getting rid of mine. Now I really do! lol, just kidding Brandon (if you ever see this). I think I may have to get another one soon.

Very interesting project. You bring alot of insight to those of us that never get to see kits or transkits such as these. I can already see that fantastic paintjob thats so typical of you, Micha.

Hi Micha,

body parts look spectacular. Smooth surface, did you polish yet?
I'm looking forward to the next steps and the finished model.

Hi micha, welcome back!

good shine on the modena, let's see what you can do to those smoked rear section. i ever tried drilling out those tiny holes but i just can't get them aligned straight! tis is the main reason i've given up on this conversion & change to a spyder challenge stradale instead.

let's see how you gonna tackle this mod bro!

cheers!

Sluuuuurp :)

I like the color very much

I am also interested to see what you come up with for the rear panel

sportracer02

Thanks for the comments.

The basis-colour still needs clear and polishing.

Concerning the rear panel: If you look closer to the photos of the 1:1 car, you can see, that the rear panel is rather thin. Making it on a model, a p/e-part would be the only working material, bringing some more questions concerning the holes for the lamps.

So, I don´t intend to make the rear panel a model of its own ;-)) - I´ll cover it with carbon decals.

It is available from automobilminiaturen.de (http://www.automobilminiaturen.de/product_info.php?info=p1292_F360-N-Tec-Rosso.html) and costs EUR 39,- (excl. shipping). Looking at the pictures sportracer02 posted I would say it is not expensive and well worth the money.

Cheers

As far as I know, the Novitec, being tuned, has visibly different air cleaner housings, with carbon finish. This may be untrue for your car, but it's what I've seen before. Good luck!

Hi Alex,

thanks for the remark, but what exactly do you propose to me??

I was just wondering if you were going to model the air cleaner housings differently because of the Novitec mods. Pictures are hard to find but the housings (pretty much the most prominent part of the engine bay) are definitely shaped differently. They don't look too easy to scratchbuild, but I'm sure you can figure out a way if you choose to do them.
