I have a 96 sunfire gt w/ 2.4l... ever since i got the car i noticed that when i would have the front defrost on the ac light would turn on, with or without the button pushed. also... the fan works on the highest setting, but nothing on the first 3 settings.. is that a normal thing to happen after time, and is ther anthing i can do to fix it (replace panel, or whole fan unit)... none of this is really important... just kinda agravating... thx in advanced

~Jeff~ 1 The Ac system/light is designed to work that way . It cycles on defrost which helps reduce the humidity/condesation in the air. 2 The blower motor resister is likely done and this is why you have only one setting. The blower motor resistor is located under dash ,passenger side by the blower motor . get a new one you`ll know what you`re looking for then. easy job to do but hard to get at it. Do a forum search here if you need more info . Lots of info. Good Luck
