Chevy G20 Seats
Easy Tease

hi. I recently bought an '88 Chevy G20 without any bench seats. since then i have been looking for the seats everywhere to no luck.
on craigslist, i finally came across some seats... but they belong to an '88 Chevy Beauville Van.
My question: are these seats interchangable? Can I buy the seats to the Beauville and latch them into my van, or will I need to drill holes through my floor and bolt them in? It seems like the Beauville is also of the G series, so I'd really love some help on this one.
If anyone has any info, please let me know; and sorry if the answer to this question is obvious; i'm not much of a car person.
Thanks,
Maggie

hi there Maggie, well you will have to physically look and see what styl;e brackets your van has and what style mounting brackets any potential donor seats have
most of the conversion van seat brackets were installed by the conversion companies by simply drilling holes for mounting bolts wherever needed
you will probably need to do the same in which will result in more and extra holes in the floor
i am remoivng the seats from an 89 full size conversion right now, stripping it down to bare metal rear to use as a work van
however it does not have bench rear seats like an ordinary passenger van does
it is a full conversion van, bucket rears and a bed
i could take pics if you needed, of any of this if it may help ?
i have owned many old GM vans from 1974 on up to this 1989 now
most have been base model work vans, or basic bench seat passenger vans, all 1974 to 1979 other than this 89 now
this is the first full conversion one i have ever had
they dont latch, but the bolt in, after drilling holes where needed, custom
astro vans and such had seat mounting latches and such though-
but thats a whole different vehicle than these big G series vans
good luck
