I don't know why, I don't know how, but all the controversy and bad happenings seem to have gone to the background for me - I just simply can't wait till the end of this week! Guess F1 is in the blood. :o

So to count down: it's 4 days to Friday sessions! :D

I think allot of the anticipation is to see if Ferrari are going to press all the other teams in dough and make jack ass cookies again!:p

:D This time I 'll be a happy man when watching qualifs !
So many new things have happened, let's see if they were for the sake of the sport!
I surely hope we'll be getting big fights between drivers like at the beginnning of the '90s

One can only hope so .
Ciao e Viva Ferrari!

Well its only 3 days now, 2 days til thursday start.
the excitement has built now it all has to deliver.
new rules, new blood.
when friday morning arrives and im sitting oppsite the ferrari garage (Jaguar fan here) waiting for the first v10 to scream out of the pits i will realise that my $430 was well spent.
for what eva happens i hope that the new rules work, i hope that team managers can shut the hell up, and stop picking on the little guys.
i hope that all the politics are laid to rest.
Gee i'm hoping for alot.
i hope (i'm on a role) race proves a worthy winner.
i hope the foosters girls are really hot. (so cold weather wouldnt be that bad)
and i hope its sunny, at the moment its suppose to rain at some stage, but i hope its sunny cause im watching from the stand.
:sun:

I'm going to be in Melbourne this weekend (attending the Model Expo :)).

However I won't be attending the GP. Sort of my protest against the latest bunch of changes Max has imposed. For instance, qualifying used to be the best part of the weekend, now it is worthless.

But don't let my cynicism get anybody down. Hope those going enjoy the spectacle.

i wish there was more racing coverage in the US besides NASCAR, and NHRA drag racing. and the indy isnt that great im tired of left turns... luckily rally is on the rise with the youth including me (well ive always liked it but still) and last summer i got to watch pikes peak on espn great fun.

ask for Speed Channel!! They just got a 3 year deal with F1, as well as the rights for all of the races of the past decade.

it is because of a deal with fox for NASCAR. however, there is still plenty of real racing. they put nascar to fill in the schedulle so it looks like alot......but you still get pleanty(more then any other channel) coverage of F1, CART, Trams AM, SCCA, WRC, I think this year JGTC and BTCC.........:D plus once in a while theres something exciting to watch, like the Legends of Motorsports

I know Alex, I've been monitoring the F1-live site for results all day... :bloated: It's just to deep inside, so I'll be up at 04.00 in the morning on Sunday, althought I said I wasn't going to...

LET BATTLE COMMENCE!!

Yeah, I am all pumped up for the second qualifying session today and the race tomorrow, I have speedvision and they have Nascar marathons everyday, the few classic ones are fun though. But that is good because otherwise I would get a big butt from watching too much Speedvision. I wish they had reruns of the F1 seasons of the 80's!

Any Canadian or English viewers here?

Canada now re-routes TSN to Speedvision, and I thought that the Speedvision announcers suck, compared to the ITV announcers of Martin Brundell and James Allen.

Yea i'm from Canada.....i think the American announcers suck too!
At least they are slowly starting to use some more of the camera's this year......i always got so pissed off because the only time they used all of the in-car's (Rear-wing, front wing, side camera's, etc) was in the Montreal and Indy races.....everywhere else didn't use them...now it seems they are slowly starting to use them

I think its b/c there's a new FIA rule specifying that every car must have x number of onboard cameras, or face a weight penalty.

they've always been there....speedvision well i guess it's just called SPEED now, and TSN, use the shots provided by the specific director in that country. the only director's that seemed to use them for the universal feed were those in montreal and indy....nowhere else....i know the camera's have always been there because when i was in Europe they were using them all the time...different directors...you can even get a special thing on satelitte there were you can chose the angles yourself
