Howdy..
The passenger window on my 98 GTP goes up and down very slowly when pushing the botton on the drivers door. when using the button on the passenger side, it goes up and down much faster...almost normal speed.
Any thoughts on what exactly the problem would and on which side of the car it's on?
Thanks folks..

have you taken the switch out and checked the contacts? they may be dirty or corroded...

& it could be either switch.

No I haven't done that yet, is it easy to do? Do you just pry it up?

Coool. thanks! I just ordered one off ebay for $40. So I don't need to take off the door panel or anythin big like that? Just gently pry it up and replace?

oh, so you just ordered a new one? i would have tried to clean the contacts first before buying a new one, but i suppose $40 isnt too bad
as long as you bought a new one, it SHOULD come with new clips...so you shouldnt have to even worry about breaking the clips on the old one.

Well neither the contacts were corroded on the original switch, and a new switch didn't make any difference...the passenger window is still slow from the drivers switch only. Any other thoughts?

When using the driver's switch power goes through the passenger switch to get to ground.

So you're saying it could be the switch on the passenger side, even though the window moves fine when activated by the passenger switch?
I'll take that switch out this weekend and check the contacts.

That's correct. I'll post a wiring diagram shortly.

Here's the diagram. I can explain how it works if needed/wanted.
