3000gt won't start

ok so this topic angers me a little as people don't seem to listen to the main points here. they see "won't start" and automatically say its the starter so heres the rundown.
I recently got back from Iraq, while away the battery obviously died. So I replaced the battery and now the 4 ways come on for about 20-30 seconds then go off. The radio is coded out. The car CANNOT BE PUSH STARTED. And when you turn the key in the ignition you can hear it make contact. Does anybody have any ideas about this. I am assuming the anti-theft device but that is a never ending battle. Is that something that I can remove? If so how?

ok, this is a long shot, but turn your key, and kinda stomp your clutch pedal. i had a similar problem, and it was due to the switch in the pedal goin out, so to get it to work, i had to hit it really hard. I think there is a way to bypass the pedal, but i cant remember how to do it. Do all your other in car electronics work correctly(like ur radio n stuff)?

well the radio doesn't work but that is becuase i don't have the code for it but yes everything else works. i can try the clutch pedal but i have been pushing pretty hard on it. I bought this car from my buddy and he said there was a step by step process you had to follow after changing the battery to deactivate the ignition cut off.... if you or anybody you know, knows how to bypass that I would be very appreciative

ok, so i justtalked to my buddy about it, he said they were overridin it by "jumping' the starter, which from my understanding involve either bridgind the wires on the foot switch, or running a lead or jumper cable from the battery straight to the starter

yeah i don't know its a 94' and I just don't know who to ask anymore I am pretty good mechanically I just not with electronics and thats the only thing I can think of at this point

do you have a keypad for the alarm?

no i dont' there is a little black box by the fuse panel that has a white knob on the side and a red light that blinks when you bump it. Also there is a yellow light to the bottom left of the fuse panel that comes on.

i know in my stealth they took out the a/s in it so it possible yes but how to do i have no idea i would think the a/s box is right next to the fuse panel under the dash but dont quote me on that if im right you should just be able to take the box out and it will work but if im wrong no harm in trying right

it sounds like a battery problem. might want to test it, even though it's new.

The yellow light is just the foot well lighting.

What you have is an aftermarket alarm and it needs to be completely removed.

^^Hmm, if it's an aftermarket alarm then it could be the ignition kill feature. I know on my sister's Eclipse she had issues where her car would just all of a sudden not start and when we took of the ignition kill relay, it's been working fine without any problems. I think generally speaking it's a big black wire that connects into the alarm and a relay but seeing that there's tons of black wires down there it may get confusing.

Try PMing "ponchonutty" and maybe he could help you sort out which one is the ignition kill relay.

Good luck.
