Coolant temp sensor.
What causes this to go bad. And which one is it? Is it the single pin sensor, or the plug sensor, underneath the dizzy?

i got the same error and i just bought the car. something i find odd the radiator fan goes on as soon as i turn the key on the on possition. If you find solution to this error please reply or email me [email protected]

i'm guessing its the single pin coolant temp sensor under the dizzy. If not there's always the 2 other thermo switches u can change..:D

Hondas are noturios for their TW sensor going bad, along with with their dizzy. Easy fix, no problem.

Not really easy. :)
I have replaced both sensors, and still a cel.
I am thinking my brittle wires are the problem.

did u replace the 3rd sensor???? there's another one on the back of the block.

The last couple of days I been having the same problem....getting a code 6 on my 91 crx si.....This is what I have learned from this code....The sensor on the back of the block turns on the fan and also is not connected to the ecu....so you dont need to replace that the get that code to go away.....Check the ohms in the wires that are going to the coolant temp sensor....you are suppose to get like 5 volts....if you are getting no reaction then you know what the problem is....Once you do change the coolant temp sensor either take the hazard fuse off for 10 second or the battery for 30 seconds to reboot the ecu......one more thing to check....you could have a bad ecu....so get a spare one and change it.....see if that helps.......then start the ignition....it should be fixed.....that is all that i can think of right now....if you need more input....holla at me....peace...
