when i start the car it will squeal. it keeps going till i hold down the clutch long enough after accelerating, which is bad on the clutch. it happened before and i replaced the altinator and battery due to a problem i was having. after this, it stopped. now it has started and only been 1-2 months. i hope its nto the same problem. i have tightened both belts ALOT and put belt dressing on. anyone know what the problem could be???

If the belts are too tight it can make the alternator squeal, and will tear it up. It can also cause problems with the power steering and A/C if equiped.

Your not the first person to do this. Ive seen a lot of vehicles that the owner tightened the belt as far as they could and they ended up replaceing the alternator, power steering pumps and A/C compressors.
