brake question

I have a 2007 v6 Camary and I want to replace the front disk pads and have the rotors turned at the auto part store. I am planning on using Toyota pads. I have done brakes many times on different cars my first question can the calipers be compressed without letting out fluid ? I hate bleeding the system. I don't want to damage anything on these newer ABS cars. Second does this brake system use shims if so should they be replaced every time?
THANK YOU

Use a screwdriver or a c-clamp to compress the piston, same as regular brakes, no bleading involved. If shims are required, they will be included with the pads. Pads from the dealer are going tp cost you arm and a leg!

I got the brake pads from the dealer for almost the same price as the auto part store bendex or raybestes. i had a 25% off cupon so I acually got them for less ! I wouldent use the 25 dollar pads unless I was def and did not care about eating up my roters.

Most of the time the anti squeal plates are already atteached to the pad. Make sure you use brake grease on the back of the pads and metal to metal contact. Do not ues the anti squeal compound.
