:banghead: i have a 93 civic DX that runs good for the most part. but after it warms up the engine starts to shakes when it idles and every so often will stall out when i come to a stop. the spark plugs, spark wires, distributor cap, and rotor are all brand new and are strait from honda. i also checked the vacuum and changed the PCV valve so thats good too. any suggestions would help out alot.

one thing that you can check out is ur engine mounts, fuel filter/pump, upgrade to NGK plugs and wires

I dont think its your motor mounts, or it would be shaking all the time, I would check your fuel filter. and NGK plugs arent an upgrade when thats what Honda recommends

This same thing happened with mine. Get a compression tester. Get the compression on all 4 of the cylinders if one of the cylinders has a compression around 20 psi then you have a blown exaust valve. If compression same in all cylinders it is something else.

loss of compression could be many things, one of them being a bent exhaust valve. others including but not limited to, bad rings, badly cracked head/block... etc.
