The prototype Nissan GT-R V-Spec (http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/07/spy-shots-nissan-gt-r-spec-v/), wearing the "Victory Specification" designation reserved for the ultra high-performance Nissan GT-R (http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/04/first-drive-2009-nissan-gt-r/), has been caught lapping the famed Nürburgring at an incredible, if not simply unbelievable, 7:25 per lap. This, according to bystanders trackside. (For comparison, Walter Röhrl lapped the Ring in 7:28 while driving a Porsche Carrera GT in 2004.)
In contrast to the standard Nissan GT-R, that made the run around the 'Ring in 7:38 (http://www.autoblog.com/2007/10/25/video-nissan-gt-r-laps-the-nurburgring-in-7-38/), the GT-R V-Spec has a new front splitter, modified rear spoiler, and different wheels. A more extensive use of carbon fiber has reportedly reduced the weight by upwards of 330 pounds. Of course, Nissan engineers also tweaked the twin-turbo powerplant for another 70 horses... or so.

this car is amazing, road and track just did a review between the GTR, Z06 and 911 Turbo, it spanked them hard core. Quartermile was 11.8, which is .1 second slower thant he z06 and 911 turbo, but on the track they were testing, it was 5 seconds faster than both z06 and 911 turbo. Price wise for the US version is 71K

Bingo. It'll be just like the the C6Z06 when it came out, MSRP was 66k in 2006. People were paying over 100k for it.
Dealers will increase the price as high as they can. They'll still sell... mostly to those who want it because it's the next hot thing with money to burn rather than what it stands for.
