What do members feel a fair asking price for this truck would be? 313,000 KM , reasonably well maintained, loaded, inspected until April 2009. Stored during the winter. Good condition, buying from 2nd owner, he doesn't drive it much and wants a new truck. Owner is thinking in the $5000.00 range. I feel this is somewhat high. I would think about $3000.00 Opinions please. Thank-you.

well, how much oil pressure does it have when fully warmed up and idling? This can show the general health of the motor. Is the paint job original and no dents or rust-through? Look thouroghly underneath the body as in actually stick your head into the wheel wells and look around or at least run a finger along the inside lip of the rear wheel wells and see if the inner fender has rusted away where it attaches to the outer fender aka box side. There should only be 4 small holes in the inner fender that are there for spraying water inside to get all the grit out. most people dont, which is why most trucks rust out. make sure the blinker switch is still in good shape, the one on my 95 K1500 is going bad and it makes the ticking noise when the blinkers aren't even on. this costs almost 400 U.S. dollars to replace because GM made all the components into one part so if one component goes bad you have to replace them all. If the truck has great oil pressure (between 40 and 60 psi at idle) and runs good with no rust whatsoever, 5 grand would be a pretty good deal for you. if there are just a few minor cosmetic defects and some rust, the price he can ask goes down a lot
