Hey guys, I am new. I discovered this site like about a year ago, but didn't decide to join until now.
Basically, I am currently learning basic car repair via my High School's auto class. I know how to do basic brake, tire, and wheel repairs, and we are now learning light engine repair and maintenence. My favorite brand is Lexus, and I love Chryslers and Fords very much, while GMs are hit-and-miss to me (much like their sales). I would love to own a red 88-93 Ford Mustang LX notchback (bone stock, I am not that into vehicle modification), and I really like Ford Tauruses, and as a result, I know a lot about them. And, that is really about all you need to know about me.
If there is a forum for introductions, can a mod please move this thread there?

Are you referring to the 2008 (G5) Taurus or the 2010 Taurus which a spy shot of has been leaked onto the web?
I have to agree, I think that the G5 Taurus looks very good. It has a stronger, classier look than the previous generation. But then again, with the G4 Taurus, Ford was killing the car, so of course the new one is going to look classier.
If you are unsure of what I am talking about with the 2010 Taurus, I have a thread with a link to the leaked photo in the Car Rumors forum.

I'm talking about the 2010 one, hopefully ford will make a quality car and just use the name because it's well known.

Knowing their current reputation, I bet that the new Taurus will be a quality car.
But, the previous Tauruses were quality cars as well. They were well designed and well thought out. Unless you are referring to the Transmission troubles or the Essex's headgasket problems.
