'02 Heated Seat does not work

I have an '02 GT and the heated seat will not work. Does anybody have an organized list of things to check to diagnose the problem?
Thanks.

Most common problem is a bad heater switch. Next the control module or one of the heater elements. Is this both upper and lower seat cushions? Do the lo and hi indicators work properly. The fuse (HSEAT/LUM) is most likely good if the power seats work.

Thanks for the reply Mr. Naylor. Yes, the power seat functions as normal and both the seat and back will NOT heat. The switch does light up Low and High but nothing happens. All fuses look good as this was the first place I checked. I also looked under the seat to make sure that maybe an electrical plug inadvertantly got kicked loose, but everything seems ok.

I'd bet it is the heating element in the seat. To replace you need to remove the seat and seat cover then install a new element. It has a sticky back and you just place it on top of the old element (after sniping the wires going to the old element, the new one comes with new wires) then replace and you should be ok. With out testing your car that is my guess.
