Yet Another Intake

I think this is the best I can do with my intake. there is an abundance of gaps between the ground and the filter so im hoping to suck up some of that cold air. not to mention the throaty sound that mixes well with my flowmasters. not much I can do about heatup at red lights, but this should make a big diff once moving.

Have you replaced your dogbone struts lately?

yeah the one you see in the pic is about 6 months old. had to have the old lady hold the car in reverse while I ran the bolt thru the holes. scary moment. got the strut from partstrain for 16 bucks...

Looks good. You could build a sheet metal box to direct in only cold air would help a bunch. You have room to build a box bringing in air from the headlite area.

Looks like a nice hot air intake. Should be great in winter for faster fuel evap.

hot air intake. lol. basically true since this engine runs so hot. atleast till i put a lower temp thermostat in. heres a pic of what i did to "help" a little in that situation. the bottom of the old box filter is under the filter and i ran a hose thru the hole to the opening above the headlight. I also have hood vents, one is directly above the filter. i have to put the flaps back in when it rains tho...
